Editorial & Verification Policy
How JobsCapta researches educational articles, verifies job listings, handles corrections, and upholds publication integrity.
1. Separation of Editorial Content and Job Listings
JobsCapta maintains a strict distinction between our two primary content types:
- Original Educational Content: Educational articles, programming language guides, architectural breakdowns, and resume strategies authored directly by the JobsCapta team. These articles do not accept paid product placements or sponsor influence.
- Curated Job Vacancies: Structured factual data (job titles, requirements, locations, and compensation ranges) curated from third-party company careers pages. JobsCapta is not the employer and does not represent employers.
2. Research and Technical Fact-Checking
Our educational guides prioritize technical accuracy and practical clarity over superficial search-engine volume:
- Verified Code Snippets: Code examples included in our tutorials are tested against current LTS software versions (e.g., Node.js, modern ECMAScript standards, Vue 3, TypeScript 5+).
- Authoritative Documentation: Technical claims, RFC constraints (e.g., RESTful HTTP specifications), and framework internals are verified against official documentation (MDN Web Docs, RFC 9457/9110, TypeScript handbook, official framework repositories).
- No Fabricated Statistics: We do not publish invented hiring percentages, unverified salary surveys, or fabricated candidate testimonials. Where salary data is discussed, it references explicit disclosures from official postings or is clearly labeled as a market estimate.
3. Job Sourcing & Verification Workflow
To combat the proliferation of ghost jobs and zombie aggregators, JobsCapta follows a structured verification protocol:
- Official Portals First: We prioritize vacancies hosted on the employer's official careers domain or verified ATS instance (e.g., Greenhouse, Lever, Ashby, Workday). When a role links to a general employer careers portal rather than a direct requisition, the interface clearly labels it so users know to search for the specific title.
- Direct Outbound Links: The application CTA routes candidates directly to the legitimate employer portal. We do not insert redirect trackers, intermediate resume collection screens, or affiliate landing pages.
- Periodic Audits: Listing status and links are regularly checked. When an employer closes applications, the listing is marked Expired, removed from active search feeds and structured data, and the application button is disabled.
4. Corrections and Updates Policy
We are committed to correcting factual errors swiftly and transparently:
- If a code sample contains an error or an API reference changes, we update the guide and revise the
updatedAttimestamp. - If an employer notifies us that an opening has closed or was filled ahead of schedule, we mark the record as expired within 24 hours.
- Readers can report errors directly on any job page via the Report Issue button, or by emailing editorial@jobscapta.xyz.
